I could not find a picture of the caterpillar we saw on Will. He actally found another one gcrawling on him later in the weekend but washed immediately and I found a very small one on my shorts. Ok I am getting itchy thinking about it better find a new topic.
On contact stinging caterpillars cause dermatitis, known as erucism. Persons of average sensitivity experience a stinging sensation; however sensitive people may experience severe pain and allergic reactions. Severe dermatitis can result in hospitalization and allergic reactions can cause death in rare and extreme cases.
