We then headed to prairre grove battlefield state park for a arts and craft festival. There were so many handmade pottery items to choose from I was not sure what to get but finally settled on a pitcher. It was only $18.00. I was very excited I had been pricing these for some time and they were not cheaper than $50 andywhere else. I got it from an older gentleman who is retired and probably doing it more as a hobby. He had lots of things for great prices.
We then went to Walmart for a few things. And to get some things to give to the ranger we had borrowed. We went back to the visitor center and they said the Rash had looked a lot better. WE went on a small hike and back to our site. We also told the ranger about the loud neighbors and they were much quieter the next two nights. Friday and Saturday evenings were perfect camping weather. We needed sweatshirts.
We took our long hike on Sunday. Jasper found his new favorite food all along the trail. Horse Manure. The park has several trails for horses also. We passed some and they were not thrilled about Jasper. Jasper is so funny hiking. If anyone gets in front of him he has to run to get in the lead. And he knows where the trail is and stays on it. He also found this mushy mud puddle and ran for ot and sat in it like it as a water puddle. He was filthy.
Monday morning we packed up and headed back. We stopped at cracker barrel and took Jasper to Pet Smart. He was overly excited but picked out a toy and would not put it down and had slobbered all over it, so we got it and some treats. Pictures are listed below. We had a great time hiking, crafting, and singing around the camp fire. Oh and the best thing was pets were allowed to do all of it. Including the festival. Jasper walked with us and got to meet lots of dogs and people. We even saw a dog in sunglasses.
Hiking to Vista point
We think this is vista point-not what it looked like from the pictures :P
Vista Point?
No water on Vista point hike which was 5-6 miles. But Jasper was as content as can be in some oowey goowey mud.
