First, Lisa and I visited Arches National Park. We had one really long and fun hike. It took us most of the afternoon to hike out to a big tall arch that was very pretty. Someone there took our picture for us...
Here's a view of this arch from a distance...

We both had fun climbing around on the rocks as we hiked this long trail...

Later we found an off roading trail that had a sign saying 4x4 was required. Lisa was excited to try out her off-roading skills on it with her truck. :)

The canyons were beautiful and a bit scary. It was intimidating looking down from the edge of them and thinking about how high up we were.

The next day we headed home. We tried to stop at the Four Corners where we could stand on four states at once, but a lady at the gate said we had to pay 6 dollars cash for the two of us to get in. We didn't have any cash and they wouldn't take a card or out of state check so we had to pass on this. I made up a silly blues song about this and sang it for a while as we drove on down the road. The drive back was a long one, but we managed to make it. We listened to our Eragon audio book CDs and read the Mistmantle Chronicles book to each other on the way home. Lisa read most of it to me. It was pretty good. A story about a squirrel paige and his adventures defending his friends and home. Now we are trying to get back into the swing of working again. :)
