Our Dream Home....and prayers

Will and I have been contemplating where we would call home and if Searcy would be long term or not. Honestly right before we started dated I was ready to leave and looking at different options.

We have talked about moving and talked about lots of different places. Somewhere where the temperature stays consistent, not too hot, not too cool all year round..but all we could think of was Hawaii. We talked about needing to be somewhere where we would have lots of friends, Nashville has lots of young professionals, but still not sure we were set on a bigger city. But the idea that there was so much to do and mountains a couple hours away and lots of people is appealing. We have talked about moving closer to family but we not sure we wanted to settle on either KY or PA.

Most of the time we have tossed around the idea of being half way in between. Which to me said either Columbus or WV. I love Columbus but also love mountains not plains. We visited WV this summer and it has a lot to offer as far as the outdoors goes and it is beautiful, full of mountains, but did not really have a specific location there just jump out at me. We were talking with a friend today from Parkersburg who is looking to move back there. I had never realized exactly it's location and with talking to him the possibility of that being where we need to be started becoming more appealing. It is less than two hours from Comlumbus, Less than three from Pittsburgh, Less than 2.5 hours from some of our best friends, less than 2 hours from my cousins(minutes from her sisters family), hiking less than 2-3 three hours in all directions, 4.5 hours from Harrodsburg, KY, and 3.5 from Ford City, PA.

With Will be totally home based at work we think it could be pretty feasible for him to still work for Axciom and work from anywhere, in fact while we were in PA he was working with a guy who was totally homebased near Erie, PA. We thought we would probably be in Searcy at least two more years but are open to leaving sooner or staying longer.

We have kinda had some ideas of things we wanted in a home for our next one. I wanted a little land. Jasper loves to run and I can just see him smiling when we are in the country. I love to run also. I have also noticed that I prefer lots of natural sunlight. I love the trees in Cloverdale but they shade too much sunlight. We wanted a place to keep a woodshop, a woodburning fireplace, and a basement. We both like a wood and stone exterior also.

I was just looking on line pricing things for the future. and right away I found our dream home (click link to see more photos)

It is on 6.92 acres with a pond, a weeping willow nearby. A rec room in the basement, lots of windows, my favorite is the master tub surrounded by wondows. There were not photos of the other bathrooms or the two bedrooms but the only thing so far we agreed would have to go would be the wallpaper trim in the master bedroom. Another thing we really loved was the inground pool in the back, we have talked about pools being nice before and maybe in our future, and the slope to the yard, perfect for sledriding. While investigating further I noticed there was an underground fence already there. You will see the dog in the driveway in the slideshow around 11 seconds. I always thought that if we stayed in this house long enough I would paint the kitchen walls yellow to go with the red and blues appliances and dishes, primary colors :).

So we are not sure if this dream home will become a reality. I will be teaching her till May, so we would have to have two house payments till we sold ours, Surely this house would not still be on the market in the spring.

We just need prayers about this home we have both fallen in love with, that we find a means to get it now or that is would still be available in 6-8 months, and we really need to sell our home before we could have any type of downpayment on another home, prayers that Will would be able to still work for Axciom and that West Virginia can handle High Speed internet(jk, but the mountains were a concern), and that an art position would come open in Parkerburg for me for next year or that I could teach at OCV, well OVU it is called now, elem art methods or something else that would help training teachers. I know this is the most at ease I have felt about any place we had talked about moving to and the most I have ever fallen in love with a house that we would not design ourselves.

The house looks good. I hope everything works out for you. It would be nice for you to live between your 2 families as you would be able to see family more.
