We had recommendations and I read on the internet that if in New Orleans you needed to stop at Mothers. We stood in line for a while. They had a cop there letting people in and out. I guess they were regulating the number of people. The line seemed to move at an okay speed. We went through the line and placed our order then found a seat. It was better than I imagined, I have never been big on Cajun food but it was wonderful and really tasted like a home cooked meal. It is a must go if you are ever in the area. The red beans and rice were the best I ever had and the greens were out of this world.
I had some wonderful Jambalaya and Ettoufee (this has little bits of crawfish in it that tasted similar to shrimp). It sounded a little gross at first, but when I tasted it I loved it. :)
